What happens to my palm photo?

Your photo is sent once to our server, analyzed, and discarded immediately. We never store it.

Specifically:

  • Your photo is held in memory on our server only for the seconds it takes to generate your reading (typically 10–20 seconds).
  • It is never written to any database, file storage, or backup.
  • It is never used to train AI models — ours or anyone else's.
  • It is never shared with advertisers, data brokers, or any third party other than the AI vision provider that performs the analysis (which is also contractually prohibited from training on it).
  • Your reading itself is saved only on your device, in the app's local storage. We have no copy.

This is enforced in our backend code with automated tests that fail if anyone ever tries to add image storage. We treat it as a contract, not a preference.

Do I need an account?

No. Veyn has no accounts, no sign-ups, no email required. Open the app, take a photo, get a reading.

This is a deliberate design choice — fewer accounts means fewer places your data can leak. Your reading history lives on your phone. If you delete the app, the readings are gone with it.

How does the reading actually work?

When you take a photo, Veyn sends it to an AI vision model that has been instructed to identify the five major palm lines (Heart, Head, Life, Fate, Sun) and describe their length, depth, curvature, and intersections. Those observations are then composed into a written reading in the voice of the Astral Chiromancer — Veyn's interpretive persona.

The reading is grounded in what the AI sees in your palm — it isn't a random generator and it isn't a quiz. Two different palms produce two different readings.

Is palm reading real? Should I make decisions based on it?

No. Veyn is an entertainment app and a tool for personal reflection. Palmistry is a centuries-old tradition with no scientific basis, and a reading from Veyn should never be treated as advice — financial, medical, legal, or otherwise. Have fun with it.

How much does Veyn cost?

Your first 3 readings are free, with no account or payment required.

After that, you can either subscribe to Palm+ for $6.99/month (unlimited readings + premium features) or buy credit packs:

  • 1 reading — $1.99
  • 5 readings — $4.99
  • 20 readings — $14.99

Credit packs never expire. Palm+ renews monthly until cancelled.

How do I cancel Palm+?

Palm+ is managed through your Apple ID, like any other App Store subscription:

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
  2. Tap your name at the top.
  3. Tap Subscriptions.
  4. Tap Veyn Palm+, then Cancel Subscription.

Cancelling stops the next renewal — you keep access through the end of the current billing period.

Can I get a refund?

Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple, not by us. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. Apple decides each case individually based on their policies.

If you have a problem with the app itself, please email support@veyn.me first — many issues we can fix directly.

I bought credits or Palm+ and they're not showing up.

Open the app, go to Settings, and tap Restore Purchases. This re-syncs your entitlements with Apple.

If that doesn't resolve it, email support@veyn.me with the date of purchase and we'll sort it out.

Which hand should I photograph?

Tradition says your dominant hand (the one you write with) shows your present and future — what you've made of your life. Your non-dominant hand shows your potential — what you were born with. Veyn reads either, but most people start with their dominant hand.

My readings seem off. Any tips for a better photo?

  • Use natural daylight if possible — direct sun is too harsh, but indirect window light is ideal.
  • Hold your hand against a plain background (a wall, a piece of paper, your other palm).
  • Open your hand fully and relax it — don't stretch the fingers tight.
  • Fill the frame with your palm, but don't crop the edges of your hand.
  • Keep the camera steady. Veyn's guided overlay shows you when the framing is right.

What languages does Veyn support?

Veyn launches in English. Additional languages are planned based on demand — let us know what you'd like at hello@veyn.me.

Is there an iPad or Android version?

Not yet. Veyn 1.0 is iPhone only. iPad support is on the roadmap. An Android version is being considered — email hello@veyn.me if you want to be notified when it's available.
